A BATS

Brighton, Hove & District and its more modern counterpart Brighton & Hove have seen a better representation than Brighton Corporation from EFE and OOC. In addition there are the ex-BH&D vehicles in Southdown colours which are detailed under that operator. Additionally there is also two other models to mention. Firstly there is the Lledo 1932 A.E.C. Regent with Evening Argus adverts and the Corgi `A.E.C. Regent` using the approximate 6mm Routemaster casting with Regent III radiator. Suffice to say these are more a representation of the livery that accurate models.

BRIGHTON, HOVE & DISTRICT MODELS

E.F.E. have issued their Eastern Coach Works-bodied Bristol Lodekka FLF casting in BH&D colours. Being an early black-box issue no registration number is carried but the model does feature fleet number 75, albeit a little over scaled.

O.O.C. have produced two FS type Lodekkas, both as closed-top versions of no. 63 (DAP 63C) which differ in advertising, one for Tamplins Ales (1,000 produced), the other for Gilkes (6,700).

Also of interest is a further E.F.E. Bristol FLF model that originated with this operator but finished in the livery of Morris of Swansea. BH&D was notable in being the only Tilling company to operate trolleybuses (11 examples between 1945 and 1959) and O.O.C. have issued a model of no. 6340 (CPM 61) with a 2,600 production, complementing the Corporation model.

BRIGHTON & HOVE MODELS

E.F.E. have produced ex-Southdown series 3 Bristol VRT no. 264, ex-Brighton Blue Bus Dennis Dart no. 79 and Volvo/Wright Renown no. 234 (pictured left) in B&H colours. whilst O.O.C. have a produced models of a Mark 1 Leyland Lynx and a Volvo B10M/Plaxton Premiere.
